Chinook

While much of the focus in the vanlife world is on off-grid, simplicity, and function over form, the Chinook build is proof that you can have the best of both worlds.  For all of our weekend warriors, pleasure cruisers, and leisurely travelers, we’ve designed a floor plan that is tailored specifically to those looking for luxury and comfort, while still maintaining the functionality of any of our other builds.  

What makes this build so different, is that the Chinook comes standard with a large water tank system, which includes a rear shower and a water heater.  The large passenger side galley comes with upgraded fixtures, such as a deeper, more modern sink, and a single induction cooktop (upgrade to a dual cooktop available).  A step drawer up to the raised rear bed, a pantry, and a large number of storage drawers (with supplementary ones in the bed face), make this galley one of the biggest and best that we make.  And the best thing about this build, by far, is the full height fridge/freezer on the driver’s side. 

The Chinook seats 2 and has the option to sleep 3 with the dinette benches that double as a fold-down bed.  Along with an extra sleeping surface, the dinette benches also house a toilet drawer and even more storage space.  The large raised rear bed, with a huge amount of cargo space below, and a full range of upper cabinets, with space for a microwave above the galley, truly makes this the perfect build for any type of traveler.  

Although this build already comes with upgrades built in, there are always more things that can be added by the Wilderness Vans team.  These include large pull out storage drawers in the rear garage area, a garage pass through door for interior access to rear storage (replacing the drawers in the bed face), or fold down stairs up to the rear bed.  As with most of our builds, this floor plan can be even modified further to suit individual needs.
